Dr. Hecht Joins Allegheny Health Network from University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland

Hecht, MD, a fertility specialist most recently at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, has been appointed Medical Director of Allegheny Health Network's Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, based at West Penn Hospital.

A board-certified specialist in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, Dr. Hecht also previously practiced at the Cleveland Clinic Fertility Center in Youngstown, OH and has 26 years of experience practicing and teaching reproductive medicine.

Dr. Hecht is a graduate of Kent State University and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, where he also trained in obstetrics and gynecology and later served as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the University of Illinois School of Medicine and most recently served as Clinical Professor of Reproductive Endocrinology at the Case Western University School of Medicine.

He has been named one of the "Best Doctors in America" nine times from 1998 through 2014 and is the author of numerous book chapters, abstracts and publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
