Appoints Stacy Nethercoat to Vice President, TDCloud

CLEARWATER, Fla., Aug. 25, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As channel partners increasingly embrace private, public, and hybrid clouds to deploy business applications and services throughout the IT channel, Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced new dedicated resources and leadership to its cloud business. Highlighting the company's investment in further expanding its cloud business, Tech Data has appointed company veteran Stacy Nethercoat to vice president, TDCloud. In her new scope of responsibility, Nethercoat will lead the strategic direction, operations, and go-to-market execution of TDCloud, Tech Data's dedicated cloud business unit, in the U.S. Nethercoat will continue to report to Brian Davis, senior vice president, U.S. Marketing.

"Cloud computing continues to be a strategic focus for Tech Data throughout the company's operations," said Brian Davis, senior vice president, U.S. Marketing at Tech Data. "Since the inception of TDCloud, Stacy's leadership and vision have proven invaluable in the growth and development of our cloud business. Our new dedicated sales, reseller enablement, field marketing, and operations resources, as well as our new organizational structure, solidifies our commitment to growth in cloud computing and better aligns us with this important part of our company's strategy."
