CLEARWATER, Fla., Aug. 27, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced the appointment of Heather Murray to vice president, Product Marketing, Hewlett Packard ("HP") Solutions Group. In this role, Murray will lead the sales, marketing, technical, and supply chain operations in support of the company's full HP Solutions portfolio in the United States. Murray will report to Brian Davis, senior vice president, U.S. Marketing.

A 15-year company veteran, Murray most recently served as vice president, Tech Data Mobile Solutions, leading the strategic direction of the company's marketing and sales efforts in its U.S. mobility business. In addition to her role at Tech Data, Murray also serves as the chair of the 2014 Executive Council and Community Leadership Board for CompTIA's Mobility Community, a trade association advancing the global interests of IT professionals and companies in education, certification, advocacy and philanthropy. This year, Murray was named to CRN's Women of the Channel Power 100 list. Murray holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Tampa.
