Cesar Rosas Named Senior Vice President of Pan American Bank

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pan American Bank (OTCQB:PAMB), the oldest Hispanic community bank in the Western United States, announced today that César Rosas has been named to Senior Vice President.

"We are proud to announce the promotion of César," said Robb Evans, Chairman of the Board. "César's reputation for successfully taking on tough challenges has proven to be remarkable. He was very instrumental in coordinating the re-launching of Pan American, and facilitating the recent capital raise. César will be a great asset as we take our bank to the next level."

Founded in 1964 by former United States Treasurer Romana Bañuelos, Pan American Bank is an active lender to many Latino small businesses and individuals, providing products and services to these underserved communities. Most recently the bank made history when a group of 16 leading western community banks subscribed $6.3 million in new capital. This recapitalization will solidify the bank's capital structure and support future growth. The Bañuelos Family Trust remains the largest shareholder of Pan American Bank.

"With the tremendous support we have received from our investors, community leaders and our customers, I am delighted to have a more challenging role in promoting the bank's legacy. Our combined efforts will continue to help the Hispanic community with their financial needs," said Rosas.

César Rosas joined Pan American Bank in April 2012 as their Vice President of Finance, overseeing the bank's daily operations and compliance initiatives. He also led the Bank's business development and SBA certification program helping to generate significant loan growth.

Prior to joining Pan American, Rosas was Principal and Director of Primavera Capital, providing consulting services to middle-management in companies that require advice in corporate finance, access to capital, debt restructuring and effective business planning. Rosas is a graduate of California State University San Bernardino, receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Economics. He earned his Master of Business Administration at the Graziadio School of Business Management, Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, and is Chair Emeritus of Graziadio Alumni Network. As a former Big Brother Big Sister of Orange County, CA, Rosas was awarded the Tutor Pal of the Year award in 2005.
