Clear Fork Royalty Honored for Ethics in the Oil Patch

Clear Fork Royalty received the prestigious Tarrant Business Ethics Award from the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Clear Fork Royalty received the prestigious Tarrant Business Ethics Award from the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, September 4, at the annual State of the County Luncheon.

Clear Fork Royalty is an oil and gas mineral rights and royalty acquisition company that handles acquisitions of interests from hundreds to millions of dollars throughout the United States.

"Receiving this honor validates how we conduct business," said Clear Fork Royalty President Joseph P. DeWoody. "Even in the highly competitive energy royalty environment, we are proving a company can achieve impressive results while conducting business in an honorable and ethical manner."

Criteria for the award include: clear communication of the company's ethical standards; transparent, honest and fair business practices; and a code of ethics, credo, code or ethics or mission statement that clearly spells out the company's requirement for honestly, integrity and compliance with the law in all business dealings.

"A lot of companies talk about having a strong corporate culture; Clear Fork showed that they not only talk about theirs but they actively manage it," said Shannon Shipp, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Marketing and the Director of the Neeley Ethics Initiative, M.J. Neeley School of Business, at Texas Christian University.

Shipp added, "Clear Fork has many stories about when it acted ethically and went above and beyond the legal requirements. It also clearly showed a process whereby new hires are given those examples and helped to develop the same sense of ethical action."

"At Clear Fork Royalty, we feel called to deal in a transparent manner--that's our buzzword: Transparency," continues DeWoody. "After all, an impressive mission statement means nothing if you don't support it behind the scenes as well as you do in public."

About Clear Fork Royalty: The Company was founded in 2009 by Joseph P. DeWoody, Michael DeWoody, and Ryan Haggerty. Clear Fork purchases oil and gas royalty interests and mineral rights from landowners throughout the United States.
