Award-Winning Marketing Automation Company LocalVox Media Acquired by TBC Holdings

DAYTON, Ohio, Sept. 23, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TBC Holdings, a holding company created to acquire and manage advertising, marketing and technology companies backed primarily by affiliates of Blackstone's GSO Capital, announced today the purchase of NYC-based LocalVox Media Inc. LocalVox provides a wide range of innovative and easy-to-use marketing software platforms targeting local and multi-location businesses.

Founded in 2010, LocalVox was recently named the fifth hottest technology company in New York City by Forbes and has been repeatedly recognized for their award-winning SaaS-based products and service. LocalVox's state-of-the-art LocalCast technology helps businesses manage 1-to-1 customer marketing and messaging to their websites, local publishers, deal sites, social media, directories, mobile and email – all through a robust online and mobile dashboard.

"The industry transformation from paid advertising to owned and earned media gives unprecedented control for customers to grow their business, reach greater audiences with engaging content and improve their social reputation and ranking on local and mobile searches," said LocalVox CEO and co-founder David Pachter.

The LocalVox software suite measures and monitors the marketing performance across all these channels, and most recently through the company's strategic relationship with First Data Corp, can track marketing activity to point-of-sale transactions.

LocalVox had an existing relationship with The Berry Company, the local media company of TBC Holdings, which started in 2012 with a partnership that offered the LocalVox marketing suite in key markets.

"The ability to marry the LocalVox product suite to a distribution channel as expansive and sophisticated as The Berry Company is a formula for long-term, sustainable success," said Jim Continenza, executive chairman of TBC Holdings. "The Berry Company's direct sales force, covering over 600 markets, will now be able to leverage its scale to provide local and multi-location businesses nationwide with a cloud-based marketing platform that efficiently manages marketing investments and tracks advertising campaigns across various online, mobile and social channels."

LocalVox's integrated Social Inbox has been repeatedly named a top social media app, seamlessly connecting to social media and review sites. The Social Inbox, combined with LocalVox's unique approach to publishing and syndicating long-format content helps strategically position local advertisers in the transformation of the local media space.
