OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 16, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alameda Health System (AHS) announced that Bonnie (formerly Hanson) Panlasigui has been named Chief Administrative Officer for Alameda Hospital, effective October 20, 2014. Ms. Panlasigui will oversee Alameda Hospital (AH) and its award-winning Certified Primary Stroke Center, Creedon Center for Advanced Wound Care, Bay Area Bone and Joint Center, Waters Edge Skilled Nursing Facility and South Shore Convalescent Hospital.

Most recently, Panlasigui was the Chief Operating Officer of Dupont Hospital, part of the Lutheran Health Network. During her tenure, the facility was recognized as a 100 Top Hospital by Thomson Reuters, received the Press Ganey Summit for Excellence Award, was designated a top performer on key quality measures two years in a row by the Joint Commission and received an "A" rating by the Leap Frog Group in quality and patient safety. Additionally, she partnered with physicians to expand service lines in gastroenterology, pain, orthopedics and interventional radiology.
Previously, Panlasigui was an Associate Administrator with Hospital Corporation of America, where she was recruited to be part of an executive turnaround team to save a hospital system in southern California that was on the verge of being shut down by CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services). Her team achieved a successful accreditation validation survey within one year.
Panlasigui received a Bachelor's Degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She serves on the Advisory Board for Mentoring Women's Network, is a founder and current Board member of the Asian Healthcare Leaders Association, and is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
