Misha Malyshev, CEO of Teza Technologies, Funds Additional Projects in Haiti and Malawi with buildOn

CHICAGO, Oct. 27, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- buildOn teens recently gave presentations at Teza Technologies that resulted in new commitments from Teza Technologies CEO Misha Malyshev and his wife, Oksana Malysheva, to buildOn. The Malyshevs will personally sponsor the construction of an additional school in Malawi, and adult literacy classes in Haiti. In December 2013, buildOn received a $150,000 donation from the Malyshevs, which resulted in the completion of five schools in Malawi and Nicaragua."It has been deeply inspiring to hear from the buildOn students who built these schools, and about the positive influence those experiences have had on their perspectives of their own educational opportunities here in the U.S.," said Misha Malyshev, CEO of Teza Technologies. "We believe in buildOn's mission and we are thrilled to sponsor additional projects in Haiti and Malawi."

The schools are providing more than 2,100 children in rural villages with a clean, safe place to learn. Additionally, through a partnership with each village, buildOn is ensuring that at least half of the schools' students are female.

"On top of the already generous contributions that Misha Malyshev and the Teza Technologies family have made to buildOn, it is their continued desire to help end the education crisis globally that we could not appreciate more," stated Michelle Mirzoian, buildOn Vice President of Development, Midwest. "Not only have they given our Chicago students the opportunity to share their stories with Teza employees, but they have helped prove to the students that they are capable and able to change their communities from within."

With the Malyshevs' continued support, they will continue to help buildOn's movement to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations through service and education.
