ArcView investor members have recently pumped more than $14 million into 28 private companies in the cannabis industry. These are some of the first angel investments in this newly structured sector of the economy. More than two dozen of the top pre-selected entrepreneurs will pitch accredited investors on their cannabis business dreams in a private meeting only open to ArcView members.

When ArcView graced the cover of the April 2013 issue of Fortune Magazine, it had about 40 investor members. It now has more than 375 members, making it one of the largest angel investment groups in the country. Unlike other angel groups of its kind, ArcView focuses exclusively on legal cannabis-related businesses.

Investors looking to invest at least $50,000 into the bourgeoning sector pay an annual fee of $2,500-$8,000 to be members of this elite group. The ArcView Investor Network includes billionaires, tech entrepreneurs turned angel investors, venture capital firms, real estate moguls, some of the largest donors to marijuana policy efforts, and the owners of some of the most successful brands in the fast-growing legal cannabis industry who are looking to make strategic acquisitions.

ArcView Market Research, the market data arm of ArcView, in its 2nd Edition of the State of Legal Marijuana Markets, estimated that in 2013 the legal national cannabis market was $1.5 billion growing in 2014 more than 68% to $2.6 billion, making it the fastest growing industry in America. On November 11th, ArcView Market Research will release new market projections for Alaska and Oregon; America's latest recreational states.

What: Select media representatives will be invited to witness presentations from companies that have been successful at raising capital from this group and those who are hoping to attract investors at this meeting. Throughout the day reporters will be able to interview high net worth investors who have recently invested in the sector or are considering it, companies that have recently been funded, elected officials that support legalization, and the editors of the market report.
