Old National Insurance Announces Leadership Changes


EVANSVILLE, Ind., Nov. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Old National is pleased to announce the following leadership changes within its Insurance Division. Current Assistant General Counsel Scott Evernham will become the new president of Old National Insurance (ONI). Tom Flynn, who has been President and CEO of Old National Insurance since 2005, will transition to CEO and Chairman of ONI. Commercial Lines Executive Jim Hynes will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer for the Insurance Division of ONI. The transition will take effect on Dec. 1.

Scott Evernham has been with Old National more than 10 years and has guided its Executive Leadership Group and Board of Directors on regulatory, compliance and partnership-related matters. Evernham holds a bachelor's degree from Purdue University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. He is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the Wharton Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Evernham was honored with Old National's Leader of the Year award in 2010.

Jim Hynes joined Old National Insurance in 2007 and has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in insurance, management and administration. Upon graduation, Hynes entered the industry as a commercial lines underwriter with Indiana Lumbermen's Mutual Insurance Company. He also served in various management and leadership capacities prior to joining Old National Insurance. Hynes was the recipient of Old National's Leader of the Year award in 2012.

Tom Flynn began his insurance career in 1979. He was executive vice president with J.W.F. Insurance Companies in Indianapolis. In 2005 Old National acquired the company and Flynn became part of the Old National Insurance team. As a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana, Flynn served in leadership roles including president, director of the national board, and chair of the federal government affairs committee. Flynn is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
