MyMilitaryLife Mobile App Releases New Functionality Allowing Military Families to Communicate With Each Other More Directly

Update to National Military Family Association App Helps Families Share Experiences With Military Resources

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 20, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Military Family Association (NMFA), a nonprofit that works to strengthen and protect military families, launched the latest update to their mobile app, MyMilitaryLife. This updated version will now let military spouses and families communicate through the app.

MyMilitaryLife users have always been able to view the resources listed for them in each of the eleven military life paths. Now, users are able to add with resources that they've found helpful and aren't currently listed.

"Since the beginning, we've wanted to make the app a place where military families can help each other," said Michelle Joyner, NMFA Mobile Initiatives Director."They are now able to do that on every topic with the app. We've already had more than 75 tips added by military spouses who are enjoying the new feature."

NMFA created MyMilitaryLife to connect military families with resources customized to fit their lifestyle. The 11 life paths include moving, deployment, parenthood, spouse education & employment and transitioning out of the military.

"With social media and technology becoming so prevalent, we knew the app needed to be interactive," said the Association's Executive Director, Joyce Raezer. "Putting all of these military family resources into the palm of your hand was just the beginning. Now we hope families will connect and point other military families in the right direction."

Here's a list of several popular military spouse bloggers who have already added their own helpful content and resources to the app:
