Back to Health Center, PLLC Welcomes New Massage Therapists

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Back to Health Center, PLLC, has welcomed several new licensed massage therapists to their team of chiropractors, acupuncture physicians and natural childbirth educators. By expanding the number of massage therapists who practice at the facility, Back to Health Center, PLLC is now able to meet the increasing demand for high quality massage therapy services in the Alexandria, Virginia area.

The new additions to the massage therapy staff at the Alexandria chiropractic office are Andrew Jelacic and Steven Skipper. Andrew Jelacic, LMT, has been a certified massage therapist since 2006, and specializes in Swedish and deep tissue massages, as well as active release stretching and PSIS. Steven Skipper, LMT, is experienced in Thai massage. Both new therapists offer patients superb customer care and high quality services, according to a Center representative.

"Today's individual has a lot of commitments every day. This leads to stress on the body and the underlying muscles, and tight muscles can cause a lot of pain," says Dr. Angela Tamsett. "Even the smaller muscles of the body can cause a great deal of pain. As a chiropractor, I adjust the alignment of the spine, but it's important the surrounding muscles be relaxed in order to help keep the spine in proper alignment."

Massages can be an integral part of wellness, and complement chiropractic care exceptionally well, said the chiropractor. "By keeping the muscles of the body relaxed and flexible, massage therapy can reduce the pain and discomfort many patients experience as a result of a variety of factors, including poor posture, certain types of work and every day stresses," said Dr. Tamsett.

Back to Health Center, PLLC, offers Alexandria residents different massage packages at a variety of price points in an effort to meet the different needs of its patients. By adding new massage therapists to the team, Back to Health Center, PLLC has more appointment times available for patients.

"A lot of people think massage therapy is a luxury, something that you do to 'treat' yourself," continues Dr. Posner. "But in reality, massage is exceptionally valuable in helping patients achieve optimal health and wellness. The body responds quite well to a therapeutic touch and the manipulation of muscles and tissues underneath the skin, giving patients an energy boost and an improved feeling of well being."

In addition to massage therapy, patients of the practice can expect to be met with a range of alternative healthcare services, including chiropractic care, cold laser therapy, cranio-sacral therapy acupuncture and physical medicine. The facility focuses on the total health and wellness of the patient, and these services are designed to work in conjunction with traditional Western medical care in order to help the patient achieve optimal health.

Back to Health Center, PLLC, is currently accepting new patients for appointments with experienced Alexandria massage therapists.
