Sales and Professional Services Veteran Justin Murphy Joins Foundation Source as Managing Director for Northern California


FAIRFIELD, Conn., Dec. 9, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Foundation Source, the nation's largest provider of comprehensive services for private foundations, today announced the appointment of Justin Murphy as Managing Director. Based in San Francisco, CA, Mr. Murphy will focus his efforts on the northern half of California, utilizing his strong background in business development, professional services, and as a former attorney. He reports to National Director of Sales Yvonne Dahl.

In his role as Managing Director, Mr. Murphy will expand Foundation Source's footprint in the Northern California market. His primary focus will be on introducing the company's comprehensive support services for private foundations to high-net-worth donors, and working with wealth managers, financial advisors, and attorneys, to help them serve their philanthropic clients.

Before joining Foundation Source, Mr. Murphy worked in San Francisco as a Sales Consultant with LexisNexis, a global provider of workflow solutions designed specifically for the professional services sector. At LexisNexis, Mr. Murphy forged a wealth of relationships throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, partnering with AmLaw 200 firms and corporate clients over the course of his tenure. Earlier in his career, Mr. Murphy was a sales consultant with Thomson Reuters West, an international publisher of industry intelligence for businesses and professionals.

Mr. Murphy was formerly an attorney in the state of Pennsylvania. He practiced as an associate with the Harrisburg, PA firm Marshall Dennehey; the Philadelphia, PA firm, Swartz Campbell; and the Public Defender's Office of Lancaster County. He also served as counsel for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Mr. Murphy has a Juris Doctor from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University.
