Morris Animal Foundation Welcomes New Chairman and Trustees


DENVER, Jan. 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Morris Animal Foundation is pleased to announce that its board of trustees has a new chairman and three new trustees, all of whom bring a wealth of expertise from their related fields to benefit the Foundation and help advance its mission. Morris Animal Foundation is one of the largest nonprofit organizations worldwide that funds scientific studies to improve the health and well-being of all animals.

The new Chairman of the Board is James A. Kutsch, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of The Seeing Eye. The three new trustees are Clinton A. Lewis, Jr., Executive Vice President and President, Zoetis U.S. Operations; Robert (Bob) C. Gain, Head of Product Operations, BlackRock Investments; and Walter (Walt) N. George, Consultant/Advisory Board Leadership.

James A. Kutsch, Jr. PhD
President and Chief Executive Officer of The Seeing Eye
Jim Kutsch, President and CEO of the world's oldest guide dog school, brings to his leadership position at Morris Animal Foundation a distinctive understanding of the role of animals in the lives of humans, and the responsibility people have for the animals in their lives. Kutsch joined The Seeing Eye executive team in 2006 after serving for 10 years on the nonprofit organization's board of trustees. Previously, he held leadership positions with Convergys Labs and AT &T.

Trustees

Clinton A. Lewis, Jr.
Executive Vice President and President, Zoetis U.S. Operations
At Zoetis (formerly Pfizer Animal Health), Clint Lewis oversees the management of the livestock and companion animal businesses in the United States, and also leads Zoetis's global genetics business. He previously served as President, U.S. Operations, in the Pfizer Animal Health organization.

Robert (Bob) C. Gain
Head of Product Operations, BlackRock Investments
At BlackRock Investments, the world's largest asset manager, Bob Gain is Head of Product Operations for the company's U.S. and Canada Defined Contribution Group. He also manages BlackRock's Community Affairs for its San Francisco office, and is on the board of directors for the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and board of directors for the Bay Area Council.

Walter (Walt) N. George III
Consultant/Advisory Board Leadership
Walt George recently retired as Corporate Vice President of Ralcorp Holdings Inc. and President of American Italian Pasta Company. He now devotes his time to small business consulting and serves on advisory boards for both corporate and nonprofit organizations. In addition to his trustee role at Morris Animal Foundation, he is an adviser to the Foundation's Trustee Investment Committee.
