BAI Payments Connect 2015 Explores Ways to Combat Payments Fraud, Enhance Cybersecurity and Limit Losses

Authentify CEO Peter Tapling to Moderate a Panel on Mobile Fraud

CHICAGO, Feb. 25, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Increasingly, organizations are embracing mobile payments as critical to their growth plans and revenue. This increased emphasis is likely due to the mobile channel growing at a higher rate than other channels and the availability of mobile payment technologies like Apple Pay. However, as mobile represents an expanding share of business for organizations, it is not without risk and will require additional plans and tools for managing that risk.

During the BAI Payments Connect 2015 conference next week, Authentify President and CEO Peter Tapling will moderate a panel discussion to explore mobile fraud and address ways to enhance cybersecurity measures that limit losses. Joining Mr. Tapling are Rick Swenson, assistant vice president, Enterprise Security Group for USAA, and Andrew "Drew" J. Luca, partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC. The panel will also address how mobile payments are struggling to gain traction and how mobile devices are increasingly regarded as a vulnerable attack vector to account information compromise and fraudulent transactions.

BAI Payments Connect 2015 will be held from Monday, March 2 to Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The panel, "Mobile Fraud: Is This the Party to Whom I Am Speaking?" will take place on Monday, March 2 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. PST.
