CLEARWATER, Fla., Feb. 25, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced the introduction of its new Mobility Solutions and Retail division, effective March 1, 2015. The division will be led by Patrick Stokes, who has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Mobility Solutions and Retail to reflect his expanded scope of responsibility. Tech Data's Consumer Technology Sales team, formerly part of the Company's Integrated Supply Chain Solutions (ISCS) division, will also move to the new Mobility Solutions and Retail division.
The Company also announced that Shaun Sinden has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager, ISCS, Americas, to reflect his dedicated focus on expanding the Company's supply chain initiatives. In this role, he will be responsible for the growth, execution, and management of the company's ISCS business throughout the Americas, as well as the development of the ISCS portfolio of services and maintaining Tech Data's world-class supply chain service levels.

A 24-year veteran of the mobile telecommunications industry, Stokes joined Tech Data in July 2014 as Vice President, Tech Data Mobile Solutions. He previously served as president and chief operating office at Brightstar and held senior executive roles in sales, distribution, and M&A with Verizon and Sprint.
Sinden joined Tech Data in October 2010, most recently serving as Vice President, Consumer Technology and Integrated Supply Chain Services. Prior to joining Tech Data, Sinden served as Senior Director, Key Global Accounts at Arvato Services, a division of Bertelsmann which focuses on BPO offerings to a variety of industries. He has held several additional leadership positions within the IT distribution and outsourced supply chain industries.
