FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 5, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Silver Airways this week announced two key leadership appointments. Andy Reeves has been named as Silver Airways' Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Brian McCormick as Vice President of Airports and Customer Service.

In his new role as COO, Andy will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day execution of the operational side of the airline, including Airports, Flight Operations, Inflight, OCC and Technical Operations. Reeves has more than 23 years of experience in leading successful operations at all levels of the aviation industry – from being a commercial pilot to Head of Operations overseeing a more than $400 million revenue base and 6,000-plus employees across the globe in more than 85 locations. Before joining Silver Airways last year as Vice President of Airport Operations and Customer Service, Reeves served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Sales for North America for Aircraft Service International Group (ASIG), the world's largest fixed base operator. He also served as Director for ASIG Holdings, Inc. His previous ASIG experience also includes serving as Vice President Operations and Sales for North America and Vice President of Technical Services. Prior to ASIG, Reeves served as Director of Technical Services and Procurement of Signature Flight Support. Reeves currently serves as a Board Director and Audit Committee Chair of Air T, a publically traded company that provides air cargo services and aircraft ground service equipment and services.

Most recently Silver Airways' Director of Airport Operations, Brian McCormick brings more than 24 years of airport and customer service experience to his new role as Vice President Airports and Customer Service where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Silver Airways' airport operations, customer service, and customer service training. McCormick served in a number of executive level positions prior to joining Silver, including supporting the launch of North American airport operations for Azul. He also previously served as a Vice President with both ASIG and Airport Terminal Services (ATS) following 10 years with Menzies Aviation where he lead service delivery, operations and business development supporting most of the world's largest airlines in airports around the world. McCormick began his aviation career at Canada 3000 Airlines where he managed airport services and handling agreements across 65 global airports, including many within Silver's Florida and Caribbean region.
