ATLANTA, March 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) today announced that hotel executive Karambir Singh Kang will be a keynote speaker at the 2015 AAHOA Convention and Trade Show.
Prior to Kang's current position as the general manager of Taj Boston, he served as general manager of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai when the hotel was attacked by terrorists in November 2008. During the deadly three day siege he worked heroically to save hotel guests, even after he lost his wife and two sons, who lived on the sixth floor of the hotel, in the fire set by the terrorists.
"Mr. Kang continues to be an example of hospitality and leadership across the globe," said AAHOA Chairman Pratik Patel. "We are honored to host him as a keynote speaker during our 2015 convention and know he will inspire everyone in attendance."
A true hero and a respected leader, Kang has devoted more than 20 years to Taj hotels, serving as general manager, director of sales and director of sales and marketing.
