UNITED STATES DISTANCE LEARNING ASSOCIATION ELECTS BERKELEY COLLEGE ONLINE(R) CAMPUS OPERATING OFFICER SHARON GOLDSTEIN TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS


WOODLAND PARK, N.J., April 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sharon Goldstein, Campus Operating Officer, Berkeley College Online®, has been elected to a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA). Berkeley College was one of the first colleges in the United States to receive certification by the USDLA, and several Berkeley College faculty and administrators have presented at USDLA workshops. Ms. Goldstein currently serves as Co-Chair of the Program Committee for the 2015 USDLA Annual Conference.

As a member of the Board of Directors of USDLA, Ms. Goldstein joins an actively involved Board of leaders who represent the fields of technology, public and private education, digital learning platforms, telemedicine and business.

Ms. Goldstein joined Berkeley College in 2003 as the Director of Career Services. She was appointed Campus Operating Officer for Berkeley College Online in January 2007, where she oversees day-to-day operations, finances, student and staff retention, space management, community outreach and expansion.

Prior to joining Berkeley College, Ms. Goldstein worked as a recruiter in the staffing industry for 15 years and holds the CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) designation. Ms. Goldstein has also served as a Board Member for the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Goldstein holds a B.A. from Dickinson College and an M.S. in Management from the College of Saint Elizabeth. She is a graduate of several leadership development programs including Leadership Berkeley, Leadership Morris, and Leadership Paterson.
