CEO James Edwards Shares Experience With Entrepreneurship, Family Businesses

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Language Access Network CEO, James Edwards recently participated as a panelist at Cornell University's annual Entrepreneurship at Cornell Celebration. The two-day conference brought together multiple colleges and programs on the Ithaca campus with Cornell students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The immersive experience for more than 700 attendees offered networking opportunities, expert advice on venture development and covered topics such as family business, social entrepreneurship, health administration and more. Sessions featured a host of speakers with firsthand knowledge to impart on students and alumni interested in pursuing an entrepreneurial path.

Edwards and fellow entrepreneurs discussed "CEO Stories: Being Entrepreneurial at the Highest Level," focusing on the journey which led them to their current CEO roles, how they grew their companies and incorporated entrepreneurship and what challenges they faced in the process. In addition, Edwards spoke in a session with Cornell's Smith Family Business Initiative and the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Institute at the Johnson Graduate School of Management to share his personal experiences with building a family business and the specific challenges such businesses face.
