TOKYO and LONDON, April 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Imagination Technologies (IMG.L) and Japan Communications Inc. (JCI) announce that JCI has licensed Imagination's ClearCall VoIP solution to bring high-quality VoIP services to its customers in Japan.
JCI, a leading provider of mobile data and voice communications services for corporations, professionals and individuals, will leverage Imagination's ClearCall Android/iOS VoIP client as the basis of a new JTalk VoIP offering for its smartphone subscribers. With JTalk, customers will be able to make high-quality calls over Wi-Fi and 3G/4G wireless networks.
JCI is a global Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) as well as an experienced Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE). As a leading MVNE, JCI will also provide the JTalk client to its MVNO business partners to enhance their core products and services.
