HERNDON, Va. – May 5, 2015 – Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Christopher T. Jones, corporate vice president and president, Northrop Grumman Technical Services, has been elected to the grade of Associate Fellow, Class of 2015, in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

"Dr. Jones is part of a distinguished group of 147 Associate Fellows this year who have been deemed by AIAA to have accomplished or been in charge of important engineering or scientific work, or who have done original work of outstanding merit, or who have otherwise made outstanding contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics," said James F. Albaugh, president, AIAA.
Northrop Grumman Technical Services sector provides life cycle logistics, aircraft and military vehicle sustainment and modernization, military training and mission readiness solutions.
Jones earned a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned two master's degrees in aerospace engineering and engineering management from the University of Dayton and a doctorate degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland. He is also a retired U.S. Air Force officer and retired member of the Connecticut Air National Guard.
Jones serves on the board of directors of the National Action Council for Minorities and the Air Force Association. Additionally, he serves on the board of visitors of the Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland and is a member of the Georgia Tech Advisory Board.
