Vancouver WA acupuncturist Denise DuPree has joined Back and Neck Care Chiropractic & Sports Massage. DuPree will be providing comprehensive chiropractic care for pain management and injury rehabilitation, with a special focus on pre-natal, pregnancy and pediatric care.

"We are thrilled to welcome Denise to Back and Neck Care Chiropractic & Sports Massage," said Vancouver WA chiropractor Dr. Michael Pettet. "Acupuncture is a natural complement to chiropractic care for pain relief, injury rehabilitation and whole body health. Denise is one of the most experienced and talented acupuncturists we have had the pleasure of working with. In the short three months she has been with our practice, she's already started making a profoundly positive impact on our patients' health."

DuPree is a 2000 graduate of the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Following her graduation, she worked at the Helping Yi Yuan Hospital in Tianjin, China for two years. During this time DuPree specialized in acupuncture, herbs and qi gong, a Taoist form of exercise and meditation. She also worked and studied at the Yi Yuan Hospital's brain clinic, where she worked closely with stroke patients. As part of this work, DuPree provided integrated care that combined acupuncture with massage, physical therapy and nutrition counseling.

Upon her return to the United States, DuPree operated her own private practices in Bainbridge, Washington, Evergreen, Colorado, and DelRay, Florida. She continued her study of women's reproductive health care and acupuncture, including acupuncture for fertility treatments, pre-natal care, labor and delivery, and post-partum care.

"With 15 years of experience providing acupuncture for patients across the world, Denise truly understands the value of acupuncture for enhancing all aspects of an individual's health and wellbeing," said Dr. Pettet. "Her consultative approach to treatment includes gaining a deep understanding of a patient's daily life and wellness needs. This allows her to tailor treatment to a patient's unique health needs. This includes combining acupuncture with other treatments the patient is currently receiving, such as chiropractic care and massage therapy."

According to Dr. Pettet, acupuncture may help treat chronic pain, thyroid disorders, TMJ disorders, neurological disorders (e.g., sciatica), autoimmune diseases, kidney stones, and food/environmental sensitivities.
