Housing up to 48 small form factor hard disk drives and solid-state drives (SSDs) in a compact 2U footprint, the Dot Hill Ultra48 AssuredSAN array is targeted at customers with throughput-intensive applications. The Ultra48 AssuredSAN array uses a patent-pending enclosure developed by Dot Hill to maximize storage processing power in a minimal rack footprint. This ultra-density solution delivers twice the performance and twice the capacity per rack unit compared to traditional arrays while maintaining Dot Hill's proven reliability and easy serviceability.
Ultra56 AssuredSAN – High Capacity Storage for Carrier and Other Rugged Environments
Using large form factor drives, the Ultra56 AssuredSAN features a carrier-grade enclosure that meets NEBS Level 3 and MIL STD specifications for Telco and other rugged applications. The unique ultra-density design of the Dot Hill Ultra56 AssuredSAN supports up to 56 6TB drives for a total of 336TB in a single 4U chassis and delivers up to 6.4 GB/s of read-performance. Three Ultra56 expansion enclosures can be combined for up to 1.5 petabytes of storage within a single array. All devices are hot swappable and the system is designed with two removable device drawers for ease of service.
