Past ABA President Laurel G. Bellows to Deliver Commencement Address at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago


CHICAGO, June 11, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Laurel G. Bellows will deliver the keynote address of the June commencement of The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Bellows is an internationally recognized business lawyer and is past president of the nearly 400,000-member American Bar Association. She was the second woman president of the Chicago Bar Association and is president of the International Women's Forum Chicago chapter.

Bellows is the founding principal of The Bellows Law Group, P.C. She counsels senior executives and corporations on executive employment and severance agreements, workplace disputes, business conduct standards, Change in Control agreements, anti-trafficking, risk assessment, supply chain and recruiting policies. The firm also litigates on behalf of employers.
 
Bellows is highly regarded for her many contributions to the Chicago and national community. 
 
Ryan Farrell has been named the valedictorian of John Marshall's 305 graduating students. Farrell, a native of Dubois, Penn., earned a bachelor of arts in liberal arts from Gannon University in Erie, Penn.
 
At John Marshall, he was a staff editor of the John Marshall Law Review and served as a teaching assistant, as well as in the Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic. He currently is considering positions with the U.S. Air Force and the Army JAG Corps, and plans to specialize in international and operational law.
