Apogee Adds New Talent to Serve Growing Clientele

Software Firm Increases Staff to Include Energy Industry Veterans


ATLANTA, June 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Apogee Interactive Inc., an industry leader in customer engagement and energy analysis software serving more than 650 US utilities, announced today the expansion of their business development team to include three industry veterans. 

Ben H. Easterling joins as Vice President of Business Development, bringing more than 30 years of broad energy industry experience to the firm. Easterling will be responsible for strategic direction of sales activities across all business lines.  In his previous leadership positions with General Electric, Silver Spring Networks, and Southern Company, he gained experience in marketing, customer service, smart grid, regulatory, and power delivery, all of which will be drawn upon in his role leading Apogee’s business development initiatives.  Easterling holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University.

Trae Westmoreland joins as Director of the Sales and Client Services where he manages a team of experienced professionals devoted to delivering world-class service to the firm’s large and growing client base.  With more than 14 years energy industry experience through his roles at Georgia Power and Southern Company as Metro Sales Manager, Business and Industrial Recruitment, and Project Executive Trae is well suited for the position.  Westmoreland earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Business/Managerial Economics from The University of Georgia.

Gayle Tomasson as Relationship Manager brings more than 15 years executive-level sales experience including account management, strategic planning, and project development. Tomasson has spent the majority of her career working in sales, project management, and marketing positions within the electric and natural gas industry including MEAG Power, Alliant Energy, and most recently Siemens. Tomasson is based outside the firm’s Atlanta headquarters in Sacramento, California, where she has easy access to west coast clients.
