The Historic Fort Harrison Hosts High Tea Event to “On Top of the World” Friends


CLEARWATER, Fla., July 02, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A group of five friends from the “On Top of the World” condominiums in Clearwater visited the Historic Fort Harrison, religious retreat of the Church of Scientology for a high tea event.

The high tea took place in the Tea-lounge of the Fort Harrison and included scones, fresh jam, clotted cream, biscuits, macaroons, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches and chicken salad sandwiches with finely diced apple. The china used for the tea was manufactured by the same company who makes the china for the White House. The Rooibos Asian Pear tea, and Parisian, music the ladies enjoyed the spread and chatted amongst one another. One commented, “This feels like royalty.”

After tea, the ladies toured through the Fort Harrison, originally built in 1926, and restored beyond its original elegance in 2009 by the Church of Scientology. The guests viewed the Governor’s Suite (a high class guest room), the Crystal Ballroom with its chandelier of 11,000 Bohemian crystals and view of the Clearwater Bay, the Auditorium, the Hibiscus restaurant, and the dark-wood Fort Harrison gift shop with sundries for parishioners during their stay.

The event concluded with hearty thanks to the Church for hosting the event by the organizer, on behalf of her group of friends stating they had a wonderful time.
