First Tennessee offers drive-thru lanes at 160 full-service financial centers plus 11 drive-thru-only convenience centers, a total of 520 lanes in all. And the lanes stay busy. Roughly 12 percent of the bank's transactions occur at drive-thrus, adding up to more than 140,000 transactions in a typical month. Drive-thru customers usually get treats for any kids or pets in the car. Drive-thru lanes remain an important option for customers – along with newer technology offered through ATMs, online and mobile banking and re-imagined financial centers – as First Tennessee offers the best combination of new-fangled technology and personal service.
To remind First Tennessee customers that the drive-thru lanes are open for business, financial centers are posting signs near the street with messages like: "Still in your pajamas? Use our drive-thru" or "Forgot your umbrella? Use our drive-thru."
