Over A Million People Watch Esteban Oliverez Announce His Candidacy For President

Number Of People Viewing Candidate's Announcement Speech On YouTube Surpasses All Other Presidential Candidates According To Oliverez For President Campaign.

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Austin-based entrepreneur Esteban Oliverez jumped into the Republican primaries two weeks ago with a speech that's already racked up over a million views online.

"I'm running because every other major candidate is only running for President to represent half of America," says Oliverez.

"I'm running because there are more than two viewpoints in this country, but most of them are never heard. There are good ideas on the left and good ideas on the right. There are some awful ideas on both sides. You shouldn't have to take the good with the bad just because we're one of the few countries in the world that believes there are only two ways of doing things."

The speech was uploaded to YouTube on July 17th and quickly made the rounds on social media. According to YouTube's view counter, more people have watched Esteban Oliverez's announcement speech than any other presidential candidate. It has already surpassed viewership of Republican front-runner Donald Trump's announcement speech in half the time.

Many people hadn't heard of the Virginia-born Texas businessman until recently, prompting the Huffington Post to run an article asking "Who Is Esteban Oliverez?"

Oliverez himself acknowledged his lack of name recognition in his speech:

"I know many of you don't know me. I'm not a career politician. I wasn't a politician at all until just now. I know there are no super PACS out there ready to spend billions to get me elected. If you've been listening, you know it's also pretty clear I won't be getting big corporate lobbying dollars. I don't think that's a bad thing."

Judging from the comments and tweets his candidacy has generated, Oliverez is attracting broad support from both sides of the aisle. While his exposure has surged the past few weeks, the moderate Republican has not been invited to participate in the upcoming nationally televised debates.
