Sensato and Divurgent are pleased to announce the development of it's new program "Designing Secure Healthcare Systems"

Cyber-security attacks targeting healthcare entities continue to evolve in terms of complexity, success and numbers. Unfortunately, despite best efforts, the reality remains that the core reason cyber-attackers are successful is because the underlying source code, which we rely upon to keep our patient data private and patient lives safe is, for the most part, not designed to be truly secure.

ASBURY PARK, N.J., Aug. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Sensato and Divurgent, is pleased to announce the development of it's new program "Designing Secure Healthcare Systems" This three-day, highly interactive and immersive workshop, has been developed to provide software architects, engineers and technology leaders from healthcare organizations with access to the tactics, techniques and practices required to design and develop highly secure software.

"The reality is that after you strip away all the noise, the reason attackers are successful, at breaching healthcare systems, is because the software we design and develop isn't secure," stated John Gomez, CEO of Sensato. "Regardless of if you are a healthcare information technology vendor or writing software on behalf of a healthcare organization, like a hospital, physician practice, pharmaceutical company or insurance organization, there is a fairly high probability that you are not employ leading edge security practices in your design and development. This workshop, which is actually more like a bootcamp, is specifically designed to arm those responsible for creating the software our families rely upon, with the leading-edge best practices required to write and architect secure code."

Participants in the program will spend three-days learning a variety of tactics and practices that help to reduce the potential for a security breach involving their software. The Designing Secure Healthcare Systems program will present the latest thinking on SQL injection, cross-site scripting, variable injection, NoSQL attacks, DDOS response, auditing, overflow attacks and much more. The program will also present solutions to combat new, relatively unknown attacks. The workshop will review cloud, distributed computing, mobile and back-end architectures and is suitable for those with a technical background, regardless of their programming language of choice or technical development platform.

Colin Konschak, CEO of Divurgent referenced how the ongoing partnership between Sensato and Divurgent is helping create uniquely crafted cyber-security offerings, specific to healthcare information technology.

"Working together and with our clients, we continue to learn a tremendous amount about what types of attacks and security challenges are specifically facing healthcare," Mr. Konschak remarked. "Designing Secure Healthcare Systems is a direct result of our healthcare IT background and understanding the threats faced by our client partners."

Several things make Designing Secure Healthcare Systems unique. It is a workshop that is developed specifically for those working in healthcare information technology and concerned with patient privacy and safety. The instructors are involved in healthcare information technology for over a decade, having designed and developed some of the most well known software in the industry, and are also seasoned attackers and cyber-security operators. Lastly, the program will not only present the tactics and practices required to secure code, but will also provide participants with various case studies, examine the psychology of an attacker and go into detail about their approaches.

Designing Secure Healthcare Systems will take place in Long Branch, NJ between October 27 and October 29 2015. Attendees can learn more about the program, and register, by visiting http://www.sensato.co. The workshop attendance is limited and attendees must be associated with a verifiable healthcare organization or vendor due to the classified nature of the content presented.
