Republic of Iceland buys back its own debt issued in dollars


On 27 July 2015, the Republic of Iceland offers to buy back its own bonds issued in US dollars maturing in June 2016. The Republic offered to buy up to nominal $400m. at the price 103,75.  The tender offer expired on the 4th of August 2015. 

The Republic of Iceland has accepted offers for purchase of $400m. in nominal amount of the bonds. The buy back is part of debt and liquidity management for the Republic of Iceland.
