MIAMI, Aug. 12, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- (Nasdaq:PERY) – Perry Ellis International announced today that it has entered into license agreements with Itochu Prominent USA, LLC for men's dress shirts under the Perry Ellis® trademark and for men's dress shirts and tailored clothing under the Original Penguin® trademark in the U.S. and Canada.
The Original Penguin collections will be marketed in better department stores including Nordstrom's, Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdale's, The Bay and better men's specialty stores and will be available for Spring 2016. Itochu will launch Perry Ellis dress shirts for Spring 2016 and will continue to build on the current Perry Ellis dress shirt business and distribution, as well as its successful Perry Ellis tailored clothing business.
Perry Ellis and Original Penguin are two of the most recognizable consumer brands. Their products are sold internationally through company-owned retail stores, major retailers and specialty stores, as well as on www.PerryEllis.com and www.OriginalPenguin.com.
