Peak Resorts Highlights Autumn Activity Schedule

WILDWOOD, Mo., Aug. 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Peak Resorts (NASDAQ:SKIS), a leading owner and operator of 13 high-quality, individually branded ski resorts primarily located in the Northeast and Midwest, is making the transition from summer to fall. While many of the resorts are quiet over the summer months, activity increases during the fall at several resorts in Peak's portfolio, with seasonal happenings and special events hosted onsite.

"Fall is an exciting time for Peak Resorts," said Timothy D. Boyd, president and chief executive officer. "We are preparing for the upcoming busy winter season while hosting fun events at numerous resorts across the portfolio. Importantly, the Columbus Day weekend is a key milestone for us, as it is the final day for promotional fall pricing on ski season passes at all of our Northeastern properties. We look forward to beginning snowmaking operations just as soon after as Mother Nature allows."

Mount Snow Brewers Festival

The Mount Snow Brewers Festival has been a Labor Day weekend tradition for more that 20 years and is the longest running event of its kind in Vermont. The Green Mountains provide the perfect backyard for thousands of beer lovers to enjoy over 90 different ales, lagers, stouts and ciders from more than 50 of the country's top craft breweries. Live music both Saturday and Sunday, along with a variety of food options, makes this one of the premier summer events in New England. Discounted tickets may be purchased in advance at mountsnow.com and all drink purchasers receive a free souvenir glass and two drink tokens to start their day of sampling. This year, the Mount Snow Brewers Festival takes place on September 5 and 6.

New England Fall Colors

The beautiful autumn colors of New England showcase their brilliant hues in late September, and Peak Resorts' New Hampshire properties are the perfect destination for fall color tours. Attitash and Wildcat Mountain are both located only minutes from North Conway in the heart of the Mount Washington Valley. The Mount Washington Valley is renowned for featuring some of the country's most legendary displays of fall foliage.

Wildcat Mountain offers scenic gondola rides to its 4,000-foot summit on every Saturday and Sunday, starting September 12 through Columbus Day Weekend, offering spectacular views of Mount Washington's eastern face and Tuckerman's Ravine.

Attitash, located 20 minutes from Wildcat, operates its Bear Peak Quad chairlift to take riders to the top of the mountain. There thrill seekers can enjoy a view like no other with a ride on the new Zip Tour zip-line adventure, high above the tree-top canopy. This one-of-a-kind attraction allows riders to control their speed – whether it is an exciting and energetic ride that can reach speeds up to 65 mph, or if riders choose to have a more leisurely trip by controlling their speed.

Tickets and more information for both of these adventures can be viewed on attitash.com or skiwildcat.com.

Oktoberfest at Attitash and Mount Snow

Columbus Day concludes Peak Resorts' fall operations with both Attitash and Mount Snow celebrating the German tradition of Oktoberfest with fun, family festivals on Saturday and Sunday. Both resorts offer traditional German fare, Bavarian music, a multitude of great beers to sample and both adult- and family-themed fun activities.
