ALBANY, N.Y., Sept. 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CDPHP and SEFCU recently teamed up to fight hunger and raise money for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York by hosting a fundraiser at the Patroon Creek office complex. The fun-filled event was a huge success, bringing in $9,485.70 for the Food Bank, as well as non-perishable food donations donated by attendees.
Dubbed the "We're All Ears Cornival," the event featured sweet and savory corn-themed dishes from local restaurants. Tasters voted on their favorite dish, with Druthers Brewing Company taking home the "Golden Kernel" award for their Grilled Corn-Pimento Cheese Popcorn Ball with Smoked Tomato Jam and Sweet Corn Cream. The event also featured carnival-like games and prizes and musical entertainment provided by local radio station WYJB 95.5FM.
