SEAL BEACH, Calif., Sept. 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cosmodyne, LLC (a subsidiary of Cryogenics Industries) announced that UGI Energy Services, LLC (a subsidiary of UGI Corporation) has awarded Cosmodyne a contract to provide a LINEX 120,000 gallon per day natural gas liquefaction plant to be located at their facility in Northeast Pennsylvania. Cosmodyne will deliver a complete package which includes equipment for natural gas pretreatment, natural gas liquefaction, cooling systems and a gas turbine driver. The LINEX system features Cosmodyne’s safe, environmentally-friendly, and cost-effective nitrogen refrigeration technology to produce LNG. The plant will deliver great operating flexibility, allowing the plant operator to easily increase and decrease production in response to fluctuating market demand without any impact to plant efficiency.
UGI expects the plant to be operational by early 2017. “Cosmodyne was selected because of their dedicated support to our project and experience in providing liquefaction solutions into a variety of different markets. UGI had some special requirements and preferences on certain aspects of the design and we found Cosmodyne to be very amenable to accommodate us in our needs,” said Mike Mara, Vice President of Engineering and Operations.
