Tech Data Appoints Beth E. Simonetti to Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer


CLEARWATER, Fla., Sept. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced that it has appointed Beth E. Simonetti to Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this new role, Simonetti will lead the strategic direction and operations of Tech Data's worldwide Human Resources function, including talent management and retention, organizational and performance management, training and development, succession planning, employee benefits, and compensation. She joins the senior leadership team as an officer of the company, reporting to Bob Dutkowsky, chief executive officer. In her role she will also support the Compensation and Governance and Nominating Committees of the Board of Directors.

Simonetti joins Tech Data with more than 20 years of experience in human resource management. Most recently, she served as senior vice president, Human Resources at Baker & Taylor, Inc. since 2010. Prior to Baker & Taylor, she was an executive search consultant and was with Cardinal Health for 12 years in various HR leadership positions. Simonetti holds a B.S. from Miami University in Ohio and a Masters of Hospital and Health Services Administration from The Ohio State University.
