Event Will Explore the Intersection of Gay and Food Culture With Celebrated Writers John Birdsall and Sarah Keough

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 07, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Blurb, Inc., the creative book and magazine publishing platform, is sponsoring “Gay Food 101: An Oral History,” a discussion of queerness and food.  “Gay Food 101” will take place Thursday, October 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Berg’n in Brooklyn, NY.

“Gay Food 101” will explore the intersection of gay culture and food culture, in restaurants, aesthetics and food media. The event will feature a moderated conversation between diverse voices in the community, including Oakland-based writer John Birdsall and Sarah Keough, New York-based photographer, editor and publisher of “Put A Egg On It.”
