The NLJ Names Korein Tillery for 2nd Consecutive Year to the List of Elite Trial Lawyers

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 12, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The attorneys at Korein Tillery are proud to announce that for the second consecutive year, the National Law Journal has named Korein Tillery to their list of America's Elite Trial Lawyers. As the NLJ explains, "The list represents those law firms that are on the cutting edge of plaintiffs-side complex litigation work in the United States and that have achieved exemplary results for their clients."

The distinctive honor comes on the heels of a very successful year for the firm. Korein Tillery has played a leading role in recovering billions of dollars for defrauded investors resulting from the nation's mortgage-backed security crisis. In the last two years alone Korein Tillery has helped recover over $2.3 billion in securities fraud cases. In 2015, more than 250 Missouri cities received millions from Korein Tillery's settlement with CenturyLink in a telecommunications tax case. As one of three lead law firms, Korein Tillery also led the way in antitrust litigation against 14 of the world's largest banks for manipulating the benchmarks for foreign currency exchange rates. To date, nine of the fourteen defendants have reached settlements totaling more than $2 billion. Litigation remains pending with the remaining five banks. In May of this year, the Illinois Supreme Court heard Oral Argument in Price v. Philip Morris, the "Light Cigarette" case whose 2003 $10.1 billion judgment was reinstated in 2014.

Steve Tillery said, "I want to thank the National Law Journal for recognizing Korein Tillery. Our lawyers strive to obtain the best results possible for our clients, whether they are individuals, certified classes, government agencies or multi-national corporations. We truly appreciate this honor."
