Veterinarian Dr. Sarah Sylla Joins Greenfield Veterinary Clinic

GREENFIELD, Wis., Dec. 13, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Greenfield Veterinary Clinic announced that Dr. Sarah Sylla has joined the clinic’s veterinary care team. Dr. Sylla is a recent graduate of the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine. At Greenfield Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Sylla will continue to pursue her interests in surgery, emergency medicine, shelter medicine and exotic veterinary care, in addition to providing routine pet wellness care check-ups and vaccinations.

Greenfield veterinarians Dr. James P. Work and Dr. Christian Taylor are welcoming Dr. Sarah Sylla to Greenfield Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Sylla grew up in the Chicago suburbs with her parents and younger brother. In 2011, Dr. Sylla graduated of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors of Science degree. Dr. Sylla completed her veterinary education at the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2015.

While in school, Dr. Sarah developed strong interests in surgery, emergency medicine, shelter medicine and exotics. “I’m thrilled to be part of the veterinary care team at Greenfield Veterinary Clinic where I can continue to pursue my veterinary care passions,” said Dr. Sylla. “Not every clinic provides care for reptiles and small caged animals, in addition to dogs and cats. Greenfield Veterinary Clinic has been caring for all pets, including exotics, for more than 40 years. I’m proud to continue this tradition of excellence in veterinary care.”

In addition to her passion for surgery and emergency care, Dr. Sylla says that she is a strong believer in the importance of preventative care. This includes pet owner education.

“Pet owners truly want the very best for their pets, but they may not always recognize the warning signs of an illness or be able to tell the difference between a minor upset stomach and accidental poisoning,” said Dr. Sylla. “I see first-hand every day the difference that preventative care makes for keeping pets healthy and active for life. This is why I am so passionate about pet owner education. Here at Greenfield Veterinary Clinic, we make it our mission to empower pet owners with the information they need to provide the best possible care.”

Dr. Sylla says she includes extra time in her appointments to talk to pet owners about any care concerns that they may have. “Whether it’s a question about a pet’s dietary needs, vaccinations, or possible surgery, my mission is to ensure each pet owner feels comfortable and confident that their pet is receiving the best possible care.”

When not at Greenfield Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Sylla enjoys running, watching movies, crafting, and traveling. Dr. Sylla is married and has two dogs, two cats and two guinea pigs.
