The Linley Group Hosts 2016 Data Center Conference


MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 26, 2016) - The Linley Group announces its 2016 conference series, at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, Calif., will start with the Linley Data Center Conference on Feb. 9 - 10. This single-track event targets cloud-service providers, network-service providers, network-equipment vendors, server OEMs, system designers, and software developers making decisions on technologies for the data center.

The conference will open with an overview of the market, technologies, equipment-design, and silicon trends impacting data-center equipment. The program's networking topics will include software-defined networking and network-function virtualization; intelligent network-interface cards; and high-speed interconnects. Computing topics will include cloud and data-center workloads; acceleration architectures; and cloud-server processors.

The second-day keynote will feature Jon Masters, Chief ARM Architect, Red Hat, who will deliver a talk entitled "How ARM Servers Can Take Over the World."

The conference will close with a special panel "Future Directions and Trends in Cloud Computing," featuring thought leaders and researchers hosted by Jag Bolaria, Principal Analyst, The Linley Group.
