FEI Kansas City Provides 2016 Academic Awards Honoring Students at Park, Pittsburg State, Washburn and Kansas State Universities


Kansas City, MO, April 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kansas City, April 12, 2016 – The Kansas City chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI Kansas City) today announced three winners of its 2016 Academic Awards for outstanding students in Finance and Accounting, plus one legacy award to an outstanding student who is a child of an FEI Kansas City member. Selected from universities in Kansas and Missouri, the winners received their merit awards at the Academic Awards Night program on Monday April 11.

Winners of FEI Kansas City’s 2016 Academic Awards:

  • Brooke Kunkel, of Kansas City, MO, majoring in Accounting at Park University, received an FEI Kansas City Academic Award.
     
  • Viet Nguyen, of Hanoi, Vietnam, majoring in Finance at Pittsburg State University, received an FEI Kansas City Academic Award.
     
  • Matt Weaver, of Hesston, KS, majoring in Accounting at Washburn University, received an FEI Kansas City Academic Award.
     
  • Nathan McClain, of Overland Park, KS, a senior at Blue Valley High School who plans to study Engineering at Kansas State University, received the FEI Kansas City Legacy Academic Award. He is the son of FEI Kansas City member Gary McClain.
