Annual General Meeting of Shareholders decides dividend of EUR 0.60 for
2015. Continuity in the composition of the Supervisory Board. Good start to
the fiscal year 2016.
At today's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in Gummersbach, A.S.
Création Tapeten AG, Europe's leading wallpaper manufacturer, presented the
consolidated financial statements for 2015. The AGM thanked all employees
of A.S. Création for their commitment in the past fiscal year and decided
to pay out a dividend of EUR 0.60 per share from the profit for the year
2015. The Managing Board and the Supervisory Board were released from
liability by a large majority of the shareholders. The regular election of
the Supervisory Board members resulted in no changes. The following
shareholder representatives were re-elected by a large majority: Ms
Benner-Heinacher, Dr. Hues, Mr Müller and Mr Schneider. The employees had
elected their representatives - Mr Mourschinetz and Mr Schmuck, as in the
previous election - already prior to the AGM. At the constituent
Supervisory Board meeting following the Annual General Meeting of
Shareholders, Mr Schneider was elected Chairman and Ms Benner-Heinacher was
elected his deputy.
The interim report for the period ended March 31, 2016 was also presented
at the AGM. At EUR 44.7 million, Group revenues were down by 4.9% on the
previous year's EUR 47.0 million. Compared to the fiscal year 2015, when
A.S. Création recorded a 12.0% drop in revenues, the decline in Q1 2016 was
much more moderate. According to the Managing Board, this is attributable
to the good quality of the product range developed over the past months,
which has been very well accepted by the customers.
Although sales revenues declined by EUR 2.3 million in the first quarter of
2016, earnings before taxes, at EUR 5.5 million, were down by only EUR 0.2
million or 3.9% on the previous year's EUR 5.7 million, meaning that the
EBT margin again reached a high level of 12.3%. This positive trend is
primarily attributable to the gross profit margin climbing from 54.8% in
the previous year to 56.7% in the reporting period.
Earnings after taxes amounted to EUR 3.9 million (previous year: EUR 4.2
million) or EUR 1.41 per share (previous year: EUR 1.52 per share) in the
first three months of 2016.
A.S. Création's interest-bearing financial liabilities declined from EUR
16.2 million on December 31, 2015 by EUR 0.9 million to EUR 15.3 million on
March 31, 2016. As of the balance sheet date, these financial liabilities
contrasted with cash and cash equivalents as well as current financial
assets of EUR 16.3 million, leaving A.S. Création with a net credit
position of EUR 1.0 million on March 31, 2016. The equity ratio of 63.4% as
of March 31, 2016 additionally underlines A.S. Création's very solid
financial structure.
In spite of several imponderables, the Managing Board of A.S. Création
believes that the company is well on track to reach the Group forecast for
the full year 2016, which provides for sales revenues of between EUR 160
million and EUR 170 million and a greatly improved result barring any
significant burdens from the antitrust proceedings and exchange losses.
