NEW YORK, May 24, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MASS Communications announced today that Oppenheimer & Company, Inc. has selected MASS to support a new web-content filtering solution for 29 of the company’s 85 branch offices. Each location required a dedicated data circuit, and MASS Communications is providing Internet circuit selection and management for those locations.
The solution enables Oppenheimer & Co. to directly connect to a cloud-based security platform.

The network delivers circuits directly from a security platform to Oppenheimer & Co., in a flexible solution that has led to enhanced security and much lower telecom infrastructure costs for Oppenheimer & Co.,” says Darren Mass, CEO of MASS Communications.
MASS provided its managed service solution for these locations and implemented full network monitoring. Without MASS’s multi-vendor solution, Oppenheimer & Co. would have had to contract with multiple broadband companies depending on the local service provider for each office. “Oppenheimer & Co. would have also had to increase their IT headcount in order to manage the deployment, aside from multiple contractual relationships and countless disparate invoices. MASS is able to deliver all the requirements, while maintaining a single point-of-contact for deployment, support and invoicing,” Mass says.
David Hwang, Network Manager, says that Oppenheimer’s IT data needs were outpacing what their current private networking solution could handle.
