Vidaris Designated a LEED® Proven Provider™ by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI)


NEW YORK, Aug. 10, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vidaris, Inc. has been named a LEED® Proven Provider™ for both BD+C and ID+C projects by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).  This designation was developed to streamline the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) project review process for experienced organizations that demonstrate consistent excellence in administering LEED projects.

What does this mean for our clients?  

  • A faster approval process for projects submitted by Vidaris for LEED review (instead of 25 business days, it will take 10 to 15 business days).
  • The Vidaris team will have a higher level of access to the GBCI review team, allowing them to vet and resolve challenging issues with one-on-one input from the reviewers.
  • It confirms Vidaris’ proven track record in LEED administration for our clients, and speaks to the firm’s level of quality design and documentation.

According to Natalie Terrill, Senior Associate, so far this year Vidaris has certified over 2.3 million square feet of LEED projects, including projects such as the Brookfield New York Headquarters (LEED-CI Gold) and The Abington Residential Tower (LEED-NC Gold) developed by the Related Companies.

The firm’s LEED-certified and -registered projects total more than 102 million square feet. Vidaris is credited with the first LEED-certified office tower in the world – the LEED-Platinum certified Bank of America tower at One Bryant Park in New York City – as well as the nation’s largest LEED-Gold certified healthcare facility, located in Duluth, Minnesota. Vidaris was also among the first in the industry to request that building product manufacturers disclose product information through a standard reporting format called the Health Product Declaration.
