Johan Halling, President of Atlas Copco’s Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area, to retire


Stockholm, Sweden, October 3, 2016: Johan Halling, President of Atlas Copco’s
Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area, has decided to retire. His
last day in the position will be on December 31, 2016.
Johan Halling, born 1952, has been working at Atlas Copco since 1994. He has
been a successful leader of Mining and Rock Excavation Technique since 2013.

“Johan is a dedicated leader who has successfully managed the mining and rock
excavation business through some very challenging years,” said Ronnie Leten,
Atlas Copco’s President and CEO.  “We have today a profitable business area with
a good foundation for the future. We thank Johan for this and for all his years
in Atlas Copco.”

Johan Halling will remain employed in the Atlas Copco Group until June 30, 2017
in order to ensure a smooth transition for his successor. He will also work on
current business area and Group projects.

The recruitment of his successor will start immediately.
