Millicom announces the Nomination Committee ahead of the 2017 Annual General Meeting

Stockholm, 24 October, 2016 - In accordance with the resolution of the 2016
Annual General Meeting of Millicom International Cellular S.A. ("Millicom") the
Chairman of the Board of Directors, Tom Boardman, has convened a Nomination
Committee consisting of members appointed by Millicom’s larger shareholders.
The Nomination Committee comprises Tom Boardman as Chairman of the Board of
Directors; Cristina Stenbeck appointed by Kinnevik AB; John Hernander appointed
by Nordea Funds; and Ossian Ekdahl appointed by Första AP-fonden. The members of
the Nomination Committee will appoint a Committee Chairman at their first
meeting.

The three shareholder representatives on the Nomination Committee have been
appointed by shareholders that jointly represent approximately 45 percent of the
total votes in Millicom.
