athenahealth Names Diane Holman Chief People Officer

New C-Suite Position Created to Leverage athenahealth’s Unique Culture to Propel Growth and Strengthen Employee Engagement


WATERTOWN, Mass., Nov. 01, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- athenahealth, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATHN), a leading provider of network-enabled services and mobile applications for healthcare providers nationwide, today announced the appointment of Diane Holman as Chief People Officer (CPO), effective December 5, 2016. She will report directly to Jonathan Bush, athenahealth’s founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Ms. Holman will advise the senior leadership team as it works to scale athenahealth’s fast-paced growth while maintaining and strengthening culture, employee engagement, and career development. As CPO, she will guide all aspects of human resources for the company, including Human Resources business partnering, talent management, total rewards, Human Resources Information Systems, athenaUniversity, and facilities across all locations. Ms. Holman will play a lead role in convening athenaCentral’s operations, focusing on delivering innovation and efficiency consistent with the company’s values and ethos.

Ms. Holman has held senior human resources leadership positions in a number of large, geographically diverse technology and financial services companies. She joins athenahealth from TE Connectivity where she was the Vice President of Global Talent Management, leading a team that was responsible for global succession planning, leadership development, learning, performance management, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. Previously, she served as the Senior Vice President and Head of Group Talent Management for Capgemini in Paris. Ms. Holman has held leadership and management positions at Wolters Kluwer, Raytheon, General Electric, and Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. She was also an adjunct professor in graduate management studies at Western New England University. Ms. Holman sits on the University of Pennsylvania CLO Advisory Board and the i4cp Chief Talent Officer Board, which she co-founded.
