NEW YORK, Nov. 14, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Paley Center for Media is pleased to announce that for the first time ever, its New York location will transform into a holiday wonderland beginning on November 25, when It's Holiday Time in PaleyLand opens to the public, with free admission for all. Visitors will have the opportunity to come in from the cold, warm up with complimentary hot cocoa, and enjoy holiday activities including: nonstop screenings of beloved holiday TV classics; a photo opportunity with a stunning four-foot tall menorah, crafted out of woodland materials of white birch bark and evergreens; craft activities; and a visit from Santa! At the center of the experience is a display of the iconic "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" costumes worn by the Radio City Rockettes in their long-standing production of the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes.

The Paley Center will also welcome a visit from the jolly man himself, Santa Claus. During select dates Santa will be at the Paley Center to greet visitors and pose for photos.*
In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to create special holiday keepsakes, warm up with complimentary hot cocoa, and enjoy nonstop daily screenings of classic holiday TV programs from the Paley Archive including: A Charlie Brown Christmas, Doug's Secret Christmas, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, A Rugrats Kwanza, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, and The Year without Santa Claus.
