Redesigned Sensoria Run Beta App, New Web Dashboard and Colorful Smart Upper Body Garments, with Holiday Pre-Order Pricing Now Available

Leader in smart garment technology to highlight artificial intelligence running solution at IDTechEx 2016

REDMOND, Wash., Nov. 16, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sensoria Inc., a world leader in wearable fitness and smart garment technology, is demoing and announcing availability of its Sensoria Run v2.0 Beta app and Sensoria Web Dashboard v2.0 Beta at IDTechEx 2016 in Santa Clara, CA on Nov. 16 and 17.

The app, which features new training plans and is now available in beta as a free download for iOS devices, works with Sensoria’s smart garments to provide real-time audio and visual feedback via Sensoria’s Artificial Intelligence Coach, Mara. During a run, Mara informs users when they should run, exercise or rest during the week to achieve a specific goal. The new app comes with three months of free training plans, allowing users to set short and long term goals, monitor progress over time and receive real-time actionable feedback.

The new Sensoria Web Dashboard offers easy access to actionable information from the users’ running sessions. The dashboard features a virtual shoe closet which collects data from Sensoria’s Smart Socks to better understand performance based on the athlete’s running shoes and alerts users when it’s time to invest in a new pair. The dashboard also awards runners with new badges based on their achievements, motivating users to improve and get to the next level.

“Sensoria’s new artificial intelligence powered app and dashboard measure real-time biomechanical data and help you understand yourself better, and in turn, improve,” said Davide Vigano, CEO and co-founder of Sensoria. “This system is designed for runners and converts data into actionable information so you can now put all that valuable wisdom to work for you.”

The new shoe closet features over eight thousand models of running shoes and helps runners compare performance for each pair of shoes that they own. The End of Session report provides you with data that is specific to each model of shoes such as your odometer, impact score, foot landing, cadence and more. The new Natural Running Transition training plan helps you learn how to run with minimalistic shoes decreasing risk of injury.

The new smart upper garments, which include a new medium support sports bra for women and a short sleeve t-shirt for men, are designed to meet the needs of all levels of fitness enthusiasts. The heart rate monitor on the new garments can also track Heart Rate Recovery (HRR) to assess fitness level, and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) to evaluate energy level.

Sensoria’s colorful and stylish heart rate monitoring garments are designed to prevent the cumbersome slipping and chaffing that can occur with traditional HRM chest straps. Each Sensoria garment is made with Emana yarn, the technically advanced and durable fabric that leverages far infrared technology. Along with keeping the wearer dry, comfortable and protected from the sun’s harmful UV rays, Emana yarn improves skin elasticity to reduce the appearance of cellulite and aid with muscle fatigue prevention. Each garment can be used with Sensoria’s Bluetooth HRM module and the new Sensoria Run v.2.0 Beta app for iOS and the previous Sensoria Fitness and Sensoria Walk apps for iOS and Android, as well as other HRM devices such as Polar H7 or Garmin Premium and other fitness apps such as Strava, Endomondo, PolarBeat or MapMyRun.

For the fitness enthusiast who wants real-time actionable feedback from both the Smart Socks and Upper Garments, Sensoria offers a complete Sensoria Running System.  These items are also available for pre-order at $379.00 for both men and women. Both the new Sensoria sports bra and t-shirt, including the Bluetooth and ANT+ Sensoria HRM module, are also available for preorder for $99.00.

This week Sensoria will be speaking at STREAM in Los Angeles, exhibiting at booth C25 at IDTechEx 2016 and accepting preorders for its new garments. Sensoria’s co-founder, Maurizio Macagno, is speaking on the future of wearable telemedicine at the show on Nov. 17.
