53 agencies purchase Spillman, 104 expand systems in Q3 of 2016

Customers choose software for integration and online training purposes

SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 1, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fifty-three public safety agencies purchased software from Spillman Technologies, a Motorola Solutions Company, for the first time during the third quarter of 2016, joining more than 1,700 public safety and private security agencies of all sizes across the country already using Spillman products. In addition to these new agencies, 104 existing customers expanded their Spillman Flex systems by purchasing additional modules.

Chippewa County Sheriff's Office in Wisconsin purchased the complete Spillman Flex suite, including Records Management (RMS), Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Jail Management (JMS), and mobile software, for a comprehensive law enforcement solution. Personnel can use the fully integrated modules to simplify data entry and give users across all departments quick access to the most up-to-date, critical information. This will help reduce response time for personnel and create a more convenient user experience. Chippewa County also purchased Spillman's InSight module and CAD2CAD Interface to more easily share records with Eau Claire Police Department and Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office, both of which also recently purchased Spillman. The CAD2CAD Interface will allow the sheriff's office to communicate directly with Eau Claire and further integrate their dispatching processes. The Flex system is backed by Spillman's reliable customer service and 24-hour technical support.

In Louisiana, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office expanded its existing Flex system to include Spillman's new Learning Management System (LMS) software. The LMS provides Spillman customers with an affordable way to continue and expand their software training at a time and place that is convenient for them. The module exists as a web-based platform, allowing agency personnel to log in using any device with a web browser and internet connection, including desktop and laptop computers, tablets, and smartphones. New courses on various Spillman products, processes, and updates are added to the LMS regularly, ensuring that customers always have access to the information they need to use the software effectively. The LMS is also built to appeal to many styles of learning by providing information in a variety of ways, such as written material, images, videos, practical exercises, and assessment questions.

Metro Security Inc. in Utah purchased Spillman's cloud software solution for private security, Spillman Ally. Its innovative, easy-to-use, web-based platform made Ally the perfect fit for the security company. Ally can be accessed from the cloud using any device with an internet connection, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones. This means Metro Security personnel can create name, vehicle, property, incident, and offense records while away from the office. Using Ally, personnel can also attach files to any record, including images, audio files, video files, PDFs, and Microsoft Word and Excel files. Metro Security Inc. is one of a growing number of contract and in-house security firms selecting Spillman Ally.
